Estimator – Landscape Construction

Now & Zen Landscapes Pty Ltd is an award-winning landscape company that has been servicing the Blue Mountains and surrounds in Landscape design and construction for the past 23 years. In that time, we have built our reputation to what it is today priding ourselves on high quality work and delivering on our promises for effective landscape solutions through intuitive design and execution.

The company is owned and operated by Shannon Decker who has 30 years experience in the industry.

Our focus is on unique residential and commercial landscape design, adopting a sustainable practice where possible which allows us to utilise a vast array of both recycled and new materials.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Working closely with Directors, clients, subcontractors and staff with all pre-construction duties
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain costings and maintain relationships
• Prepare and complete estimates for all residential and commercial projects.
• Organise and attend site inspections with clients
• Business Development – ability to pursue work in line with company scope
• Maintain project budgeting and progress to management
• Provide costings and tracking on all projects from inception to completion
• Ordering required materials at the relevant stages of the project

Qualifications and Experience:

• Intermediate level Estimator with landscape, carpentry, building and/or civil construction experience who is keen to join a dynamic and supportive in-house team.
• Understanding of construction processes across landscape and concrete works
• Experience with estimating using Buildxact software (preferred)
• Personality fit and culture fit is very important!
• Strong negotiation and communication skills 
• Willingness to learn and evolve
• Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Understanding and knowledge of relevant Industry Standards and processes.
• Solid communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Current WHS White Card 
• Current NSW Drivers license and own transport
• Passionate about a career in the Landscape construction industry
